And Rhadamanthys, son of Zeus, married Alcmena after the death of Amphitryon, and dwelt as an exile at Ocaleae in Boeotia (original Greek).

 

Plutarch Lys (Lysandros) 28.5:

And near by is also the memorial of Alcmene; for she was buried there, as they say, having lived with Rhadamanthus after the death of Amphitryon (original Greek).

We (mortals) have all sorts of passions in life. For one man desires to acquire noble birth, while another has no concern for this, but he wishes to be called the father of many possessions in his house. And it is satisfying to another man to persuade his neighbors with wicked boldness, speaking nothing wholesome from his heart. Others seek shameful profits ahead of what is fine/noble among mortals. Thus the life of men is a deviation (from what is right).
